Town of West Seneca Library and Community Center
West Seneca, New York
Client: Town of West Seneca
Completion Date: 2018
Total Project Cost: $13.5 M
Size: 48,500 SF
This newly renovated, walk-up facility in the Town of West Seneca houses both the library and community center, thanks to an 18,000 s.f. expansion. The project included a complete library renovation and addition of a children’s center; meeting rooms and town offices; and a community and youth center with a gymnasium.
Before the grand opening, the CPL Buffalo team as well as various community groups donated their time and green thumbs to install the landscaping outside of the building for a beautiful first impression of the new, inviting community hub.
The campus-like approachability of the library is part of the Town’s Master Plan to create a buzzing, attractive Town center, which is also why the parking lot is tucked in the back of the building. It was designed to be “an exploration and celebration of prairie style architecture.” PC: @ 2018 Kim Smith Photo
